Experimenting Super 8mm

For this test shoot, I ventured into the world of Super 8 mm film for the first time, using my great-grandfather’s vintage camera. Shooting with AGFA Moviechrome 40, a stock that expired in the 1970s, was an experiment in embracing unpredictability and texture.

The result is raw, nostalgic, and uniquely organic—qualities digital formats can’t replicate. This project was as much about the process as it was about the outcome: reconnecting with the tactile nature of filmmaking and exploring the magic hidden in the imperfections of aged film.
