About Fran

Short TV segment I shot and edited during a studio session with João Só, Mimi Froes and Manuel Rocha for a song from the Florbela album.

The project brings Florbela Espanca’s poetry into a contemporary musical context, and this session focused on capturing a small part of that process as it was happening.

My role was to:

• Film the session in a low-profile way
• Edit the piece for TV, keeping it concise and clear
• Focus on process rather than performance polish

The goal was simply to document the atmosphere of the session and Mimi Froes’ & João Só approach in the studio, without getting in the way of the music.
